Starting Off
Greg Archambault began preparing tax returns and offering financial guidance around 2013. From the beginning, Greg has believed in the importance and power of relationships and the practice slowly grew from there.
More recently, Greg transformed the practice into Archway Accounting to focus his energy on building a people-centric accounting firm offering an alternative to the impersonal nature of working with a large firm.

Greg Archambault, CPA
Managing Member
Greg graduated from the University of South Florida, in Tampa where he grew up, and has been practicing public accounting for over ten years. He has a variety of experience including tax, audit, and consulting. Working for over 6 years for a DC-based firm, he participated in a consulting project for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and is proud to have been part of the inaugural team that audited the Department of Defense (DoD), the largest entity in the world, for their first time during fiscal year 2018. Although he’s worked on some large scale projects, he is an entrepreneur at heart and most enjoys assisting small businesses and individuals with bookkeeping and tax compliance.
Greg loves to say he is never happier than when he’s in the mountains. Even in wintertime. He also enjoys scuba diving and exploring new countries and cultures. He is an avid pickleball and tennis player and is obsessed with capsule hotels. Some of his latest travels have been to India, Italy, and Japan. Antarctica is on his bucket list.
Donna Jarman Smith, CPA, CGMA
Advisor
Donna has many years’ experience serving individuals, trustees, and businesses in a variety of fields including professional services, government contracting, and real estate. Most recently, she ran JarmanSmith PLLC which Archway acquired in 2023. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and has a Master of Science, Taxation from The American University.
Dr. Michael Gefen, CPA
Advisor
Michael was born and raised in Israel and came to the United States to complete his graduate and PhD degrees. He started Gefen Associates in 1977 and has been providing accounting services to clients for over 47 years. In 2024, Archway acquired Gefen Associates and Michael is assisting with ensuring a smooth transition of services.
Michael and his wife, Talma, reside in Bala Cynwyd and have four adult children and 11 grandchildren.
Kathy Atkinson
Accountant
Kathy has held numerous accounting positions throughout her career and worked for Gefen Associates for over 21 years before it was acquired by Archway. She is excited to remain part of the Archway team now.
Kathy lived in Montreal and Vancouver before settling back down in her hometown of Philadelphia. She is very active with her church and loves cheering on the local Philly sports teams.
Patrick Murphy
Accountant
Patrick is a previous JarmanSmith employee. He graduated from Pace University with an Accounting degree and MBA. Prior to joining JarmanSmith, he spent 2 years at the Small Business Administration (SBA) processing Economic Injury Disaster Loans as part of the government’s COVID relief.
Emily Butz
Accounting Assistant
Emily is also a previous employee of JarmanSmith and has over 6 years of experience with tax preparation and bookkeeping functions. She’s very detail-oriented and has a love of art.
